Please wear loose fitting clothing and bring socks for Craniosacral appointments. Thank you.
You'll find me at 8401 5th Ave NE at Suite 102. It is on the west side of the street, directly across from NE 84th St. There is free parking within a block generally. Across the street you'll see a cute business area with Jivasti Cafe, and Flying Squirrel Pizza.
Find Suite 102, a door titled "Natural Health Center" and you'll see "Broehe Karpenko," my name among other therapists.
Come on in through the street level glass door, have a seat, a glass of water, or use the restroom. Thank you for keeping your voice low as there are other therapy offices. And that's a great time to turn your phone ringer off.
I'll find you at our appointment time. Our session will include 5-10 minutes of a pre-interview and 5-10 minutes of a post-interview.
We will discuss what brings you in, and what results you are hoping for. I'll ask about your health history and symptoms to make sure that the treatment is safe and tailored to you.
If you are receiving Craniosacral Therapy for your appointment: please bring socks to wear, and loose-fitting clothing.
Typically, you'll remain alert. Depending on how and where we are working you may benefit from some buffer time to integrate after our session. Some unhurried "You" time may be helpful to get you ready for the rest of your day. You are welcome to remain in the waiting area and have some water before departing. If you are new to Craniosacral Therapy, please orient yourself with overview and / or this history.
If you are receiving Massage Therapy: For the relief of acute symptoms, may I suggest you ask for focused work in the area of concern. That will give me the best shot at addressing all of the muscle groups involved in a set of symptoms. Full-body work is wonderful for overall well-being and stress reduction.
For all sessions, you will be asked to speak up for your comfort on and off the table in terms of temperature, pressure, positioning, music, pain or discomfort in any way. Also let me know if you are scent sensitive; I can purify the room before you arrive.
Each person truly is unique and so your communication and participation is vital.
